Checking the trial allowance…
Usage is based on input words. Rewriting a selection counts only that selection. Internal checks and repairs do not use more of your allowance.
The same editing controls, different limits.
Choose by how much you write. Any word pack unlocks the paid limit below.
| Editing and usage | Free trial | Word packs |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum input per request | 250 words | 1,000 words |
| Count input words, not output words | Included | Included |
| Selection rewrites count only selected words | Included | Included |
| Return reserved words after a failed request | Included | Included |
| No extra word charge for internal repairs | Included | Included |

A few details about words and billing.
Know what counts before you start a rewrite.
What counts toward my word allowance?
We count the words in the text you submit for rewriting, not the output. The editor shows the input count before you submit. Each new rewrite request uses its own input-word allowance.
Does a selection rewrite count the whole draft?
No. It counts only the selected words. Surrounding text may be sent as context to keep the edit consistent, but it does not increase the word charge for that selection.
Do checks or internal repairs cost extra words?
No. The checks and any internal repair within the same request are included. If you ask for another rewrite after receiving a result, that is a new request.
What happens if a request fails?
Words are reserved when a request starts. If it fails or cannot produce a result that passes our checks, the reserved allowance is returned automatically. This restores words; it is not a refund of a subscription payment.
Is this a subscription?
No. Each pack is a single payment with no renewal, so there is nothing to cancel. Buy another pack whenever you need more words; packs add to your balance.
Do purchased words expire?
No. Words from a pack stay in your balance until you use them. The welcome allowance is a one-time grant for eligible new accounts.
Why do larger packs cost less per word?
The per-word rate drops as the pack grows. Crossed-out prices show the same number of words at the 5,000-word pack rate, so the discount is measured against our own smallest pack.
What does buying a pack unlock?
Any paid pack raises your limit to 1,000 words per request, and it stays raised after the pack is used up. Editing controls, protection and change review are the same on every account.
How long is my text saved?
Task text has a temporary recovery window of up to 24 hours. You can delete it earlier. Copy or export work you want to keep. Usage and billing records are separate from the draft text, and model providers process requests under their own data terms.

Review each change and keep the wording that sounds right to you.
